About this object
Off-white plain-weave cotton- flax square napkins with polychrome embroidery and drawn threadwork. The monogram “MPD” is embroidered at the lower proper-left corner in polychrome script. The other three corners have varied fillet mesh designs at each: a seahorse in green at the lower proper right cor, a dark blue four-petal flower at the upper proper right, and a yellow bird at the upper proper left. The edges are bordered in orange and blue double hemstitch.
