About this object
The wooden frame of the backgammon board is covered with leather. The outer panels in blue with gold ornaments, green foliage, red flowers and stylized lilies on the spine imitate an ancient bookbinding. Inside the case, each side of the board has a track of 12 long triangles blue or green with gold ornaments and frames on a blue background, called points. It contains sets of checkers and their container, a doubling cube and a dice cup.
