About this object

Dome shaped (unfurled) white machine-made lace parasol with pink silk lining. A 16 cm lace border is hand-sewn on the outside of the cover and a ruched lace band is hand-sewn in place of an open cap. Wood veneer ferrule and tube. Brass top/bottom springs. Ten steel ribs, stretchers, tips, and steel runner. A pink silk rosette covers the top notch. A brass cap is glued to the end of the handle. A pink silk ruched ban is affixed to the handle with a brass tack; a hand-sewn silk ribbon serves as a wrist strap.
