About this object
Flat conical shaped umbrella (unfurled) with a copper silk cover. Wood veneer ferrule and fit up. Brass tube, top/bottom springs, tips and tip cup. Ten black enameled ribs and stretchers. Wood veneer tapering handle that ends in a Bakelite (?) tip with brass guilloche inlay on the top and bottom of the Bakelite tip. The top notch, gits, and runner are covered in rosettes of the same fabric as the cover. The hand-stitched tie is of the same fabric as the cover with a hand-stitched mother-of-pearl button and brass loop closure.
