About this object
Blue short sleeved square-necked princess-line evening gown. Plain center front and back with highly decorated side panels. The panels consist of cotton lace with the edge of the motif embellished with a flat cord trim, overlaid with iridescent braid creating a rich texture. Dress closes at the center back with a nylon zipper. The center back has two decorative flat bows, once on each side of the zipper. Dress shield, grosgrain waist tape and two long hanging cords made of the lining fabric. Similar to the dress featured in 1965 Life Magazine article.
