Embroidered linen bread and salt cloth which features at one end the figure of a crowned swan swimming by floral decoration and at the opposite end the crowned cipher of Tsar Nicholas II surrounded by floral decoration. The needlework is broderie anglaise, a type of whitework needlework incorporating features of embroidery, cutwork, and needle lace. At the center of the cloth is a small gold cross worked in gold thread and sequins.
