About this object
Pear-shaped coffee pot has an applied handle with a fantastic animal at the top. The handle itself is covered with woven cane. The brownish-colored patinated copper is engraved on one side with a scene of a hunter with his spear after three boars. On the other side is a horse and the rider after a stag. Both scenes are framed with rococo scrolls. Two swags of flowers are on either side of the pot at the top. Swags of flowers also decorate the gilded and applied spout, which is beaded down the center. The separate lid is also engraved with two birds and flowers, all
