About this object

The belt buckle is rectangular with squared off corners. It is decorated with the Great Seal of Imperial Russia, stamped from the back. The gilding or patination has rubbed off on the right side to reveal the silver-colored metal beneath. The tabs which would have been used to secure the buckle to a leather belt have also broken off.
