About this object
The four armed cross with white enamel outlined in silver with balls at the ends and a green enameled oak leaf wreath. In the center in a medallion is a gold lion on black enamel with a red enamel border with a gold inscription: Union Fort Air Force. On the obverse is a medallion with gold interlaced letters L R against blue enamel with a border of old enamel and with gold laurel sprays. The ribbon is violet red moiré. Awarded by King Leopold on November 29, 1939. Order came in a rectangular box.
