First class. The gold cross pattée with red enameled arms outlined in black. The central obverse medallion with a red and white ermine mantle and the initials “CB” on a black enamel background. On the reverse is the founding date “22 September 1782” in Cyrillic in gold on black enameled ground. The sash is a silk moiré ribbon with three stripes–black, red, black—of equal size
