About this object
Hair pin is composed of two long prongs attached to the upper section. The prongs are plain except for a section where the metal is twisted in the upper half of the prongs. The top of the hair pin has an elaborate openwork decorated with scrolls of leaves and flowers, which are partially engraved. The stems of the leaves are stippled. This design contines on to the upper part of the prongs in a pattern of curls.
