The buttons are made from round amethysts that are pierced from top to bottom. There is a silver mounting on the top and bottom of the button consisting of a series of silver loops that look like scallops. The bottom of the button has a conical formation of siver beading, while the top has twists of silver wire. There is a suspension ring at the top for sewing on a garment.
