The outer case is in gold. The dial on the front is framed by a band of diamonds. The sides are chased and engraved, the back has an oval medallion contining the half-length figure of a young woman in colored enamel, on a terrace, holding a letter. The medallion is framed by diamonds. On the dial is the name of the maker.
