About this object
The outer case is in four-color gold. The dial on the front, in white enamel, is inscribed "Lépine à Paris" and is framed by a band of tiny diamonds. On the back is an oval medallion containing the bust of a young woman in colored enamel, wearing a saucer-like hat and a ruffled, low-cut collar. The medallion is framed by tiny diamonds and topped by a ribbon bow and flowers also set with diamonds. The border is striated and contains two flower sprays and one leaf spray all chased in red and green gold in low relief. The works are also inscribed "Lépine à Paris".
