About this object

On chatelaine is a star in diamonds above a sunburst. From it hangs a tassel, a key decorated with a sunburst, and a chain holding the watch, each piece set with diamonds. Back of the watchcase, stem and ring at top are set with pave diamonds. In center of case back is the cipher of Catherine the Great surmounted by imperial crown, all in rubies. Frame of dial is set with diamonds.
