About this object

On back of spoon is a siren with crowned head of a woman and a bird's body, against a background of pale green enamel, all in painted enamel techinique. Border is in filigree enamel with a scroll of leaves and rosettes in white on a pale blue ground. Handle has a twisted design in purple and turquoise colored enamel and dart shaped leaves on a pale blue ground. Finial is decorated with moss green and emerald green leaves and brown scrools. Tiny pearl seeds incorporated in design.
