The rectangular box is decorated with grisaille enamel. On the cover is a scene with a woman surrounded by three handmaidens undressing before a bed with curtains. On the front and back sides is a motif with two female griffins with their heads tied together. On the ends are decorative motifs. Painted on a black ground.
