About this object
The background is in pale blue with an overall lattice pattern and dots in raised white enamel. On each half is a cartouche painted in colors framed with raised gilt scrolls. On the lower half on one side, a woman with a globe and telescope, and Venus and Mars on the other side. On the upper section a putto painting on one side, and a putto playing a flute on the other. Inside the fittings are missing.
