About this object
The background is in dark blue enamel with an all-over pattern of scrolly leaves, flowers, and fleurettes in raised gold, finely executed. On the upper and lower sections are two small cartouches each with raised gilt frames delicately painted landscapes in colors. The landscapes have all similar classical ruins. Inside, the seven fittings are intact.
