About this object
The box is in white enamel with metal mounts at the top and bottom. Along the four sides edges is a narrow gilt ribbed band. On each of the four sides is a pastoral scene with ruins, cattle, sheep and shepherds, all in gilt rococo frames. The rest of the background is decorated with raised white dots.
