On one obverse the head on Napoleon in profile facing to the right, wearing a laurel wreath. Signed by the maker under the shoulder "ANDRIEU F." Inscribed near the rim "NAPOLEON" and "EMP ET ROI" On the reverse face, a scene of French hussar on horseback brandishing a sword, an enemy soldier fleeing to the right, another fallen to the ground under the horse. Inscribed below: "BATAILLE DE LA MOSKOWA VII SEPTEMBRE M.DCCCXII."
