About this object
The wine cooler is made in the Art Nouveau style. The lip flares out and is crimped. The handles are in the form of semi-nude figures. There is a man on one side, and a woman on the other. They wear clinging swirling drapery and reach upward to hold bunches of grapes and leaves. The body of the vase tapers down to a wide cylindrical base decorated with a frieze of putti holding swags of flowers. There is no bottom.
