About this object
A pair of firedogs in a very ornate French 18th c. style. The main motif is an urn toppe by a flame on a truncated column on a stepped base. Suspended around the middle of the urn is a garland of leaves modeled completely in the round. A slightly curved balustrade ends with a small urn.
