About this object
Main section is a shallow crystal glass bowl with a rayed pattern and mounted with an ormolu border with a stylized leaf and rosette rinceau in relief and on the lower edge an acanthus and berry border. On underside of the glass bowl is an ormolu rosette and a drop. From ormolu border project twelve candleholders in ormolu with various rosette and formalized motifs. Bowl is suspended by six chains with ormolu links in openwork with stylized leaf motifs. These are attached near the ceiling to a circular ormolu section with a formalized rosette design underneath and eight ormolu feathers projecting from the top.
