About this object
Main part simulates a rose, the frame being in ormolu, the body of the vase in strings of facetted crystal. Through the stump of crystal is seen a central core in blue glass. Above the vase like portion is a tall facetted crystal star from which rise wires like a spray of water from a fountain to each of which is attached a string of facetted crystals, the whole simulating a fountain. From the sides of this central portion rise two smaller versions of the simulated fountain, while from the other two sides rise a holder for a candle. Base is formed on each girandole of two rectangular squares of marble, graduated in size.
