About this object

Box is oval with a double lid and a gilt piece on the top which turns and locks both parts of the lid. Surface is covered on all sides with scrolls, leaves engraved and nielloed on a stippled and gilt ground. Two interior compartments are gilded. On cover are the nielloed Cyrillic initials PA.
