About this object

On the handle is the nielloed monogram of Alexander I surmounted by the Imperial crown, the whole on a strie background. On the end of the bowl opposite to this is the Imperial double headed eagle. In the bottom of the bowl is the Imperial double headed eagle surmounted by the Imperial crown, all in repoussé on a stippled background. On the breast of the eagle is a shield with the monogram of Alexander I. At each end of the outer bowl are two oval niello medaliions with military trophies, while along both outer sides runs a nielloed inscription with borders alternately strie and nielloed, in Russian: "The troop of the Urals Major, Andrei Andreevich Mizinov."
