About this object
The coffee pot has a plain body except where the spout rises which has reeding topped by a palmetto, the spout being the head of the bird. Around the top of the body is a row of laurel leaves and berries and at the top leaves and flowers and an ivory finial. The handles have an acanthus leaf at the upper end and a stylized leaf at the lower end. There are two pieces of ivory. The lower part of the body and the oval foot have each a row of laurel leaves and berries - the interior is gilded.
