On tip of the handle is the State seal of New Jersey, then a long piece labeled The Steel Pier, and then leaves and shells. In bowl is a low relief labled THE CHALFONTE ATLANTIC CITY. On the back of the handle is a lady being wheeled along the boardwalk in a chair, then a view of the sea with a saling vessel and people in bathing suits. Lighthouse labeled with name.
