At tip of spoon is the name PORTLAND, next a bust of Henry Wasdworth Longfellow, then a house labeled LONGFELLOW'S HOME, next a tower labeled OBSERVATORY, then some pine cones. In bowl is a low relief again of Longfellows home. On back are buildings labeled PORTLAND HEAD LIGHT and COURT HOUSE and a fir tree.
