On tip of handle is a bust of a man and the date 1889, then a fir tree and below it a fern leaf. The narrowest part of the handle is labeled Washington. In bowl is a relief of a waterfall labeled: SPOKANE FALLS SPOKANE WASH. On building to right: C and C MILLING CO. On back an American Indian held by standing Indian.
