About this object
Except for plain bands at the top and bottom with simple turning almost all the surface is covered with an elaborate repoussé decoration. The decoration consists of an elaborate design of rococo scrolls with plain and stippled and three small cartouches at the top and three larger ones below. The three small cartouches have each the double headed Imperial eagle with the insignia. The latter contain: 1. a huntsman on horseback in pursuit, 2. a hound in pursuit, 3. a stag in flight. The ring foot has three cartouches with rococo designs in repoussé.
