About this object
The frame has double rows of reeding, spaced and crossing in a checkerboard pattern at the corners. The inner edge of the frame is enameled in black, yellow, and red (colors of the Belgium flag). The center of the top of the frame had a relief of a crown in silver and enamel. The frame contains a 1935 black and white photograph of an unknown woman, possibly Queen Astrid of Belgium, wearing a diamond tiara, diamond earrings, several strands of pearls, and a gown trimmed in ostrich feathers.
