About this object
The coconut is carved with busts of Peter the Great, Catherine I and Elizabeth in medallions. Between the medallions the background is carved with floral designs. The cover is part of the cocoanut mounted in silver gilt with the Imperial eagle on the top. The nut is carved with floral motifs. The base is beautifully engraved with scrolls in parcel gilt. On top of this is a standing boy supporting on his head the plain silver mounts for the cup.
