The frame contains a signed black and white photograph mounted on paper of King Haakon VII of Norway with his cipher and crown in relief at the center of the top of the frame. Only the corners of the frame are reeded; on the inside edge of the reeded section are three enamelled stripes, the center one in blue and the outer ones in red.
