The acorn vinaigrette is cut from two pieces of bloodstone and is mounted in silver gilt. The hinge is decorated with a series of dots. At the top are three oak leaves chased in silver and a silver ring for suspension. Inside there is a decoratively pierced lid in silver gilt.
