About this object
The mother-of-pearl handle is mounted in silver gilt at either end decorated with strap-work. At the tip are the cypher of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich of Russia (1827-1892), on either side with the Imperial crown projecting from the end of the handle. The steel blades bear the mark for Nicholls and Plinke.
