About this object
The frame holds a photograph of the last Tsarevich dressed in the uniform of His Majesty's Own Convoy and riding a horse (see 56.30). The frame except for the opening has pale blue translucent enamel over an engraved sunburst pattern. Over the frame is draped the ribbon of the Imperial Order of St. George Martyr in black and translucent orange enamel. Near the top hangs a replica of the badge of the Order, a white cross with a central medallion of St. George on a white horse against a red ground.
