About this object
The set is made of birch wood, light in color and decorated with strips of silver gilt engraved with acanthus leaves and bands of translucent oyster white enamel over a guilloche ground. The stationery holder in two compartments has an arched back and two silver gilt melon shaped feet. There is a silver gilt beaded edge and on the front, a rectangular panel is framed with the acanthus and enamel strips.
