About this object

The sides of the tumbler are completely decorated with elaborate scrolls and garlands on a punched ground. There are two pseudo-rococo cartouches, one with the initials of the original owner, surmounted by a coronet, and the other with his coat of arms and motto. The foot has an inverted acanthus leaf border gilded inside and out.
