About this object
The top and bottom of the vinaigrette are each made of an oval piece of smoky quartz. Each is faceted around the beveled edge. The rim and hinge are made in gold with the upper rim engraved and decorated with two green enameled rosettes. The open work cover inside is made in gold and is engraved with a large flower in the center and smaller flowers around it.
