About this object

The salt cellar is oval in shape with eight scalloped projections around the outer edge. The central part is hollow and under the glass is the image of a woman in a romantic costume on a red ground. She wears a large hat and a dress with a shawl collar. There is a beaded border around this. The rest of the glass is clear.
