Dina Merrill Film Program

Enjoy classic cinema, short films, and documentaries in the magnificent surroundings of Hillwood’s estate. 

Marjorie Post enjoyed entertaining guests with screenings of first-run films in her Pavilion. Her tradition of entertaining through film continues at Hillwood through the generous support of her youngest daughter, Hollywood actress Dina Merrill.

Outdoor Film | House of Cardin (2019)

Revel in a summer evening in Hillwood’s luscious gardens and experience an outdoor film like nowhere else in DC. The documentary House of Cardin, examines the extraordinary life and career of legendary fashion designer Pierre Cardin, who started his career at Christian Dior.

Films on the Green is presented in partnership with the Embassy of France.

Spend an evening enjoying Hillwood’s luscious summer gardens and Grace Kelly’s signature sense of style and glamor, first in the exhibition Grace of Monaco: Princess in Dior and then on the big screen with Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.
