About this object

The lavender jade has touches of brown. The lower and upper parts are shaped like inverted funnels. Attached to both funnels are four projecting loops each, from which dnagles a hanging ring. Each are carved with acanthus leaves. The central band connecting the two parts is wider at the top than at the bottom and is carved in low relief with Chinese motifs. The lip at top is engraved with a Greek key pattern. The round wooden bases have four feet each.
