About this object

The square body is made in amber colored glass or Mongolian agate. the body is plain but is decorated with silver and copper mounts. The mounts have filigree filled with bits of turquoise and reddish stones, all cut in cabochon. The foot has two rows of stones which form the base. The sides have a single row of stones leading to the top which has a scalloped border. The scallops are filled with filigree and stones. There is a high neck with a row of arhced designs filled with stones. On top of this is the flat cover with a knob in the center. It is similarly decorated.
