About this object

The bottle is oval and flattened. It rests on jade legs that tilt it forward so it sits like an animal. The body is white glass and has a crab and two butterfiles carved in jade attached to it. The two butterflies and attached to one side, one above the other. The crab is attached to the other with its claws extended to cover the entire side. The stopper is a piece of pinkish coral.
