About this object
Twelve figures of women and children in a very crowded arrangement. They are at the edge of a body of water. One figure is leaning on an oar at far left. Next to her is another figure, leaning over and dipping a shell in water. Behind them is the back of another figure. The next grouping shows one figure pulling up a net full of fish and shellfish, which spill out towards front. In front of this figure is one nude figure nude with back turned, and a child who is hidden between these two figures. The final grouping at the right shows a reclining woman holding an infant, turning towards another figure at the right. Behind her is the head of an angry child. This grouping is completed with the head of a man at the apex of this triangular arrangement. Behind the figures is dark foliage and a golden sky.
