About this object

The background is in reddish velvet. In the center is a rayed cross in gold embroidery. Each one of the ends has a fine embroidered scene-the Nativity on one end and a different scene repeated on the other three arms, each with two Archangels holding a fabellum with a cross and gospel between them and the dove of the Holy Ghost descending from above. The faces are painted white and the figures are embroidered over padding on gold and silver threads.
