About this object

The box is round and made from black lacquer. The lining of the cover and the rim of the lower half are made in gold. On the cover is a cameo in a grayish material against agate. The cameo is the bust in profile to the left of a general wearing a uniform with a high collar. He is decorated with the star of an order of "Saint Esprit" and two badges of the Order of Saint Hubert. The general may be Frederick Wilhelm III of Prussia.
