About this object

Box is carved to resemble a peasant Dacha with all the decorative wood trimmings, the details stained in colors. Lined with blue silk on the interior and decorated with the cipher of Alexander III. The cover on the exterior has on one side the cipher of Alexander III against an ermine canopy and with a laurel and oak wreath. At ends are the crown with oak and laurel wreath on one end and the imperial coat of arms on the double-headed eagle on the other.
